Launch Radio Networks reports: BUSH is inactive but not necessarily defunct, according to frontman Gavin Rossdale. While Rossdale's new band, INSTITUTE, prepares for the September 13 release of its debut album, "Distort Yourself", he told us that there's always a possibility BUSH could work together again: "I think that if there's anything that we would do it would be based around, it would start gently with a greatest hits which, that could be. But I just don't know. I just have no idea what those guys want to do."
BUSH shut down in 2002, after touring to support its last album, 2001's "Golden State".
Guitarist Nigel Pulsford quit the band in 2002 and was replaced by Chris Traynor, who's now part of INSTITUTE.
"Bullet-proof Skin", the first single from "Distort Yourself", is also featured on the "Stealth" film soundtrack.
INSTITUTE performs tonight (Friday, August 12) at the Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood, California.
